This painting is a “re-make” of a painting that was stolen from a gallery in Chicago. It is likely that someone stole the first painting with mal-intent. Some people have told me, “Take it as a compliment that your art is so great people are willing to steal it.” But, if you think about it, have you ever said to someone who’s car was just stolen “that’s how you know your car is great”?
