  • Spring is here!

Spring GoatTo answer your question, the RSS works with Feed Burner.  Feed Burner should work with services called “Readers”.  The simpler way to subscribe to my site would be through the “Join This Site” button in the right-hand sidebar.  I suppose it’s a bit awkward to have the more difficult method on top of the right-hand sidebar and the easier method below.  Thanks for pointing that out – I will have to re-arrange those.  If you have further trouble with these issues, both Blogger and FeedBurner have help sections.  You may contact them for further information and I’m sure someone on the other end will be more than happy to help you.

*2017 Update* I may still be hooking up the follow buttons, but I don’t use Feed Burner anymore, so this post is obsolete.  Should I leave an obsolete post up?…. maybe I can re-do it.

    Thanks for reading.

    Oil on Canvas – 16″ x 20″

I’m hoping the oil paint will dry by the time it needs to travel to its destination.  I haven’t worked with oil since it has been too cold to keep the windows open and the exhaust fan blowing.   Now that the weather has changed, well, as you can see, here is my first oil of the season.

That being said, I have to produce 9 more paintings of roughly the same size by April 25th.  That’s the latest challenge life has imposed on me.  Not bad.  Could be worse…could be training for another marathon (which, by the way, is almost as difficult as quitting smoking).

    Acrylic on Canvas – 16″ x 20″

My most recent painting now complete and almost ready to replace the ones I sold.  If this sounds like bragging, well, it might be (just a little bit), and after having a nice brag-fest, I’m always struck with the feeling that my next painting or work will turn out looking like garbage.  To counter this feeling, I’d also like to mention that the sales from those paintings might pay a fraction of my bills if I’m lucky (and refrain from using too much water).

I have just reminded myself to send the water bill, and, now that I think about it, I already sent it out yesterday.

If you’re still here and reading this, I’ll bet you might be wondering about the animation I promised…it will eventually make it to this site.  I am still working on other projects and commissions (such as paintings like this).  I am also in the process of transforming the back yard into the Garden of Eden (and I’m guessing I’ll need to begin that project with a couple of fig-leaves).

Spring Feet – Acrylic on canvas

Hello readers!  It’s that time of year when I dust cobwebs off my websites and do some domain/website organizing.  After a long period of attempting and failing to merge that professional look with a personal blog, this blog is going to remain as a blog and nothing more.  My “ActsofPaint” domain now points to my professional portfolio (where all the professional stuff will go).  Of course, I’m am still deciding whether or not to link it back to this blog where I am now free to rant about unprofessional things in a most uneventful way (bonus points if it gets eventful).

This will hopefully make things easier for me and less confusing for you.

I’ve had way too much caffeine today and speaking of confusing, this painting was meant to hang on the wall by it’s edge (like this):
