I was fascinated with the idea that nobody really knew what a Dunkleosteus looked like because the only part of this prehistoric creature to have fossilized is its scull.
The actual process of reconstructing this prehistoric creature required taking a trip to the museum to study its remains, and studying reconstructions by other artists/scientist to get a better idea of what it must have looked like.
